Easter Gift Guide for Girls

I can’t believe we’re this close to Easter already. While our family’s focus is on Jesus’s death and resurrection during this season, I’m not about to pass up an opportunity to put together a cute Easter gift guide for girls!

Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays. Jesus’ gift of salvation (through his death and resurrection), the temperature warming up, the earth coming alive again, all the pastels- these fill me with joy. And I love that my six year old daughter, Evie, feels all the these joys with me. Children make celebrating so much more fun and meaningful!

Speaking of things Evie got from me… she got that bougie bug. Bless. She loves all the pretty things, so this Easter gift guide was cultivated with her in mind. She caught me putting the last few gifts on the guide and immediately starting pointing to what she wanted in HER Easter basket. Spoiler alert: it was every single thing. So I think it’s safe to say this Easter gift guide for girls is gonna be a real winner.

gifting a need

I’ve never been big on gifting cheap plastic toys just to fill up a basket or stocking. Those are hardly used and end up scattered everywhere (insert eye twitching). I’ve always aimed to be intentional about what we bring into our home. Easter baskets are a great place to gift what’s already a need. With summer coming up, both girls will get a new bathing suit and new pool/beach towel. They get an adorable new bathing suit and I’m checking off an item that’s a pending need. It’s a win-win.

Yearly rain boots get added to this list as well. I’m a sucker for Hunter boots because we wear them them into the ground and they always outlast Evie. For me the price tag is worth the investment.

gifting creativity and beauty

Another approach I have is to gift my girls items that encourage creativity, artistic expression and appreciation for beauty. I fell in love with the artistry in the book Flora, so that is making the list. And I love the idea of having a flower garden this year. There are so many non-tangible gifts that come from planting a flower garden. Evie loved being able to express her creativity in choosing her own flower seed packets for our garden. Plus there are so many lessons learned in planting, taking care of and then harvesting those blooms. Not to mention their benefit to our local ecosystems. I think every little girl needs to plant her own little flower garden!
